This notice explains how ORDIA with Paul handles personal information when you use this website, its browser-based household tools, or choose to contact Paul.

You choose whether to call, email, use WhatsApp, book through Calendly, copy a brief or share a PDF.
ORDIA does not use household answers to create advertising audiences, credit decisions or automated eligibility decisions.

1. Who is responsible for your information?
Paul Scrase, trading as ORDIA with Paul, is the data controller for personal information that Paul actually receives and uses through this service.

Paul is an independent Utility Warehouse Partner. Where you later choose to become a Utility Warehouse customer or Partner, Utility Warehouse may process information separately under its own privacy information.
2. Information handled by the website
Depending on the features you choose, the website may handle:
- household labels, priorities and general property details;
- energy information such as annual kWh, meter readings, heating type and selected property information;
- broadband, mobile and insurance preferences or renewal dates;
- locally created tasks, notes, document labels and sharing choices;
- technical information such as pages viewed, button-event labels, browser type, approximate location derived from an IP address, and security or server logs;
- contact and appointment information that you deliberately provide through email, telephone, WhatsApp or Calendly.
Please do not enter account numbers, payment-card details, bank details, passwords, full bill documents or unnecessary sensitive information into the public household tools.
3. Information stored only in your browser
The Household Check, ORDIA Dashboard, preferences, local document register and saved Energy Data Passport use browser storage so that progress can continue on the same device. This information is not automatically uploaded to Paul or placed into a customer database.
Browser storage remains until you erase it, clear the site’s storage, use private-browsing controls, or the browser removes it. Other people using the same browser profile may be able to see it.
Because Paul does not receive browser-only information, Paul cannot retrieve, correct or erase it remotely. Use the website’s local controls on the relevant device.
4. Bill Helper and printable summaries
Images and PDFs selected in the Bill Helper are displayed locally in the current browser tab using a temporary browser address. The file is not intentionally uploaded by ORDIA and is not retained in local storage. Closing or refreshing the page removes the preview.
Printable summaries are generated in the browser and passed to the browser’s Print or Save PDF function. They are not automatically sent to Paul. Review any PDF before saving or sharing it because it may contain household figures, dates, tasks or notes.
5. Energy Performance Certificate searches
When you actively request an EPC search and tick the confirmation box, the postcode you enter is sent through ORDIA’s protected server-side endpoint to the official Energy Performance of Buildings data service for England and Wales.
The returned record describes the property using standard assumptions; it is not actual household consumption. The postcode and selected record are not automatically sent to Paul. You may choose to save selected property information locally in your browser.
The purpose is to provide the property lookup you requested. The legal basis is taking steps at your request to provide the service and ORDIA’s legitimate interest in supplying a useful, privacy-conscious household tool.
6. Contacting Paul and booking a conversation
When you contact Paul, Paul may receive your name, contact details, message, appointment details and any household information you choose to share. This is used to respond, arrange a conversation, prepare for the discussion, provide requested information and keep an appropriate record of the relationship.
The legal basis will normally be taking steps at your request before entering into an arrangement, performing an arrangement, complying with legal obligations, or Paul’s legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and managing the service.
Marketing messages by email, text or similar electronic channels will only be sent where permitted by law. You can ask Paul to stop direct marketing at any time.
7. Website hosting, security logs and analytics
The website is hosted by Vercel. Hosting infrastructure may process IP addresses, device and request information, timestamps, error details and security logs to deliver and protect the site.
ORDIA may record limited page and button-event labels to understand which public features are useful. Household answers, bill figures, meter readings and calculator values must not be placed in those event labels. Analytics or similar non-essential storage should only run where the applicable consent rules have been met.
The legal basis for essential hosting and security processing is legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving the website. Where consent is legally required for optional storage or analytics, consent is the legal basis and can be withdrawn.
8. Cookies and similar browser technologies
ORDIA does not use advertising cookies. The site uses browser storage for requested functions such as saving a household plan, accessibility preferences and installation settings. These technologies are used to provide features chosen by the visitor.
Optional anonymous event analytics is disabled until the visitor actively accepts it. Merely continuing to browse is not treated as consent. See the Cookies & Browser Storage Notice and use “Privacy choices” in the footer to change the selection.
9. Who may receive information?
Information may be handled by:
- Paul Scrase where you deliberately contact or share information with him;
- Vercel and necessary technical providers used to host, secure and deliver the website;
- the official Energy Performance of Buildings data service when you request an EPC search;
- Calendly, WhatsApp/Meta, telephone and email providers when you choose to use those services;
- Utility Warehouse where you separately choose to proceed with a product, service or Partner enquiry;
- professional advisers, regulators, courts, law-enforcement bodies or other parties where disclosure is legally required or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
ORDIA does not sell personal information.
10. International transfers
Some providers, including Vercel, Calendly, Meta/WhatsApp and email infrastructure, may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where UK data-protection law applies, the relevant provider or controller should use an approved transfer mechanism or another lawful safeguard. Their own privacy notices explain their arrangements in more detail.
11. How long is information kept?
- Browser-only household data: until you erase it or the browser removes it.
- Temporary bill previews: until the tab is closed or refreshed.
- Hosting and security logs: according to the hosting provider’s configured retention and only for as long as reasonably needed for delivery, troubleshooting, fraud prevention and security.
- Enquiries and appointment records received by Paul: for as long as needed to respond and manage the relationship, then for a reasonable period required for records, complaints, legal obligations or the defence of claims.
- Marketing preferences: for as long as needed to respect your choice, including a suppression record where appropriate.
Information will not be kept for longer than is reasonably necessary for the stated purpose.
12. Your data-protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to:
- be informed about how your information is used;
- request access to personal information held about you;
- ask for inaccurate information to be corrected;
- ask for information to be erased;
- ask for use of information to be restricted;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests or to direct marketing;
- receive certain information in a portable format;
- withdraw consent where processing relies on consent;
- raise a concern about automated decision-making.
The site’s readiness score and suggested actions are planning prompts created in the browser. They are not used to make legal, credit, pricing or eligibility decisions about you.
To exercise a right concerning information actually received by Paul, email paul.scrase@uw.partners. Identity may need to be verified before information is disclosed or changed.
13. Complaints
Please contact Paul first so the concern can be investigated. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Visit the ICO complaints service or telephone 0303 123 1113.
14. Children
ORDIA is intended for adults managing household services. It is not designed to collect information directly from children. Please do not submit information about a child unless it is genuinely necessary for an adult household-service enquiry.
15. Security
ORDIA uses proportionate technical and organisational measures, including HTTPS, restricted server-side credentials, input validation and privacy-first local processing. No internet service is completely secure, so avoid entering unnecessary confidential information and protect access to your device.
16. Changes to this notice
This notice will be reviewed when the website, providers or legal requirements change. Material new uses of personal information will be explained before they begin where required.
